I am a photographer born in the Río Grande Valley, currently based in Houston. My passion lies in portraiture and narrative image making. Capturing the essence of a person, place, or culture and telling their unique story through my lens is at the forefront of my practice. My lens is artistic, but objective.
Growing up on both sides of the river, I was surrounded by two sides of a rich cultural heritage and diverse community. This upbringing has had a significant impact on my photography, influencing my style and artistic vision along with my drive to provide amplification for the narratives that my subjects tell. My work is characterized by a focus on capturing the beauty of the human form and exploring the many facets of identity and culture.
